Islamic militant groups are the suspected criminals responsible for gunning down a Nigerian agricultural school campus, while many students slept in the dormitories. The attackers torched classroom and opened fire on the dorms during a violent attack that’s said to be a part of Nigeria’s ever-growing Islamic extremist uprising.
It’s being reportedthat as many as 50 students were killed in the attack in rural Gujuba. Provost Molima Idi Mato of Yobe State College of Agriculture told the Associated Press that he couldn’t give an exact death toll because security forces are still recovering bodies, but their ages range between 18-22. The 1,00 students enrolled in the school have now fled and most schools in the area have closed after a separate militant attack on July 6 that killed 29 students and a teacher.
